Christmas house decorations

18 November 2017 - 31 December 2017 House The decorations in the house, new and improved for 2017, will be in place for visitors to view on weekends. Along with our enhanced Christmas activity program, we celebrate this special time of year on a scale not seen before.

Christmas Meals

20 November 2017 - 22 December 2017 Clock Tower Cafe A three-course seasonal meal with all the trimmings served every weekday in the Clock Tower café between Monday 20 November and Friday 22 December. Booking required.

Seasonal Craft Fair

Sewerby Squirrels: History Explorers

27 November 2017 - 27 November 2017 Orangery As well as the usual play area and quiet corner, we’ll explore the house and hunt for squirrels!

Walking for Health

28 November 2017 - 28 November 2017 Out from the estate The scheme is a series of free guided walks for all ages and abilities, aimed at anyone who has an interest in walking or wants to slowly introduce exercise into their daily routine as part of rehabilitation from illness or injury.


Rusticus Christmas Adventure

02 December 2017 - 02 December 2017 Estate Wrap up in your warmest woollens for some crazy Christmas Carolling! You’ll gather fuel with Good King Wenceslas, meet a nutty squirrel, and dance with a real snowflake! Magical outdoor performance with activities.

Traditional Roast Chestnuts

Carol concert with the Coastal Voices Choir

02 December 2017 - 02 December 2017 Orangery Featuring a wide range of musical genres, our well-attended Orangery Concerts are brought to you by talented groups and individuals. Genres include classical pianists, traditional vocalists, Rat Pack and Indie, full size bands and many, many more.

Christmas House activities

02 December 2017 - 02 December 2017 House Come and make a Christmas card in the Servant's Hall or decorate a Christmas Tree biscuit in the Kitchen. We will have mulled apple to drink and mince pies to try and an opportunity to stir the pudding and make a wish.
